Syrian Insurgents Kill Head of Iranian Committee for Reconstruction of Lebanon

The Iranian embassy in Lebanon announced late Wednesday the martyrdom of the head of the Iranian Committee for Reconstruction of Lebanon, engineer Hussam Khoshnevis.

“It is with great sorrow and regret, the Iranian Embassy announces the martyrdom of engineer Hussam Khoshnevis, the head of the Iranian Committee for Reconstruction in Lebanon, while he was en route from Damascus to Beirut at the hands of armed terrorists.”

The statement added that Iran’s Ambassador Ghazanfar Roknabadi will receive condolences on Thursday and Friday.

The Iranian Committee for Reconstruction of Lebanon was established following the brutal Israeli War against Lebanon in July 2006.
