Inciting People in the Name of Haramain Sharifain and Spreading Sectarian Tension Is Dangerous: Allama Syed Jawad Naqvi

Shiite News: Head of Tehreek-e-Bedari Ummat-e-Mustafa and Principal of Jamia Urwatul Wusqa Lahore, Allama Syed Jawad Naqvi, while delivering the Friday sermon at Masjid Bait al-Atiq, has said that attempts to incite the public in the name of Haramain Sharifain and increase sectarian tension in Pakistan are extremely dangerous.

He said that the oppressed Muslims of Gaza kept crying out to Muslim countries possessing strong forces, but no effective practical step was taken to stop Zionist atrocities; this silence further emboldened the oppressors, and the war spread from Gaza to Lebanon, Iran, and Yemen. Today, the purpose of targeting these fronts and imposing the siege is to eliminate the resistance front, and Yemen’s only crime is that it played a practical role in support of Gaza and Palestine.

Allama Jawad Naqvi said that a large number of Ahl-e-Sunnat support Palestine and the resistance against Zionist aggression, but certain takfiri, nasibi, and banned groups are using the Sunni identity for their condemned objectives, and the state’s narrative must be distinct from the narrative of Khawarij and banned organizations. He warned that if sectarian fire is ignited in Pakistan, its effects could last for decades, like the Afghan war.

He demanded from the Prime Minister of Pakistan that inflammatory rhetoric in the name of Haramain Sharifain be avoided and sensitive matters be resolved through diplomatic channels and negotiations. He said that Saudi Arabia’s real help lies not in supporting more attacks on Yemen but in playing an effective role in reconciliation between the two countries and in ending the attacks and siege, and Pakistan can perform a great service by establishing peace between both countries.
