Bombing of Yemen’s Oppressed People Should Be Stopped, Pakistan Should Not Be Pushed into This Conflict: Allama Maqsood Domki

Shiite News: Provincial President of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan Sindh, Allama Maqsood Ali Domki, while addressing a press conference at Jakhrani House in Kandhkot during a two-day organizational visit to district Kashmore, has said that the oppressed people of Yemen have been facing war, bombing, and terrorism for many years, and the reckless use of force against unarmed Yemeni civilians is unacceptable in any way.

He said that war also has some rules, and the protection of human lives is essential in all circumstances. The Holy Quran has a clear teaching that if two groups of believers fight, reconciliation should be brought about between them; therefore, instead of spreading war, the path of peace, negotiations, and reconciliation should be adopted.

Allama Maqsood Domki said that Pakistan holds an important place in the Muslim Ummah; instead of becoming part of any external power’s agenda, it should play an effective role in promoting unity, peace, and goodwill among Islamic countries, and attempts to push Pakistan into the Yemen conflict are not in the interest of the country and the nation. He said that the Yemeni people are imbued with love for the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family), and the grand procession of Eid Milad-un-Nabi in Sanaa is a prominent expression of this.

Speaking on the situation in Sindh, he said that the government established through Form 47, instead of raising the specter of new provinces, should focus on solving public problems. Expressing severe concern over tribal conflicts and the deteriorating law and order situation in district Kashmore, he demanded from the Sindh government that a comprehensive strategy be formulated for a permanent resolution of tribal conflicts and indiscriminate action be taken against criminal elements.
