Restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz Will Continue If Iranian Nation’s Rights Are Violated: General Amir Hatami
Shiite News: Top commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army, Major General Amir Hatami, has warned that if the enemy does not respect the rights of the Iranian nation, restrictions related to maritime transit in the Strait of Hormuz will continue. He issued this warning while addressing the closing ceremony of the 11th National Congress of Itikaf and the 8th International Academic, Literary, and Fine Arts Festival held at the mosque of Tehran’s Imam Ali (AS) Military University.
General Hatami, shedding light on the four fundamental elements of Iran’s power, said that the presence of the people in the field, the strength of the armed forces, the continuity of government institutions, and Iran’s strategic geographical location are the pillars that have foiled all the enemy’s calculations. He said that in the initial days of the imposed war, according to the directives of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, the people trusted their capabilities and managed the situation, while the Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, despite the martyrdom of important commanders, continued their military duties and gave a crushing response to the enemy.

He further said that despite the martyrdom of important government officials, Iran’s administrative, political, economic, and judicial structure remained active without any interruption, which was completely contrary to the enemy’s expectations. General Amir Hatami, emphasizing the immense geographical importance of the Strait of Hormuz, termed it the fourth major pillar of Iran’s power and clarified in blunt terms that if national and sovereign rights are not respected, restrictions on this important waterway will remain in place.
