Imam Khamenei lauds Qom people’s awareness

AyatollahÂ Khamenei pointed out that the enemies’ abhorrence of the people of Qom and the seminary is because of the awareness of these committed Muslim people and their presence on the scenes, as was evident last October during the massive welcome accorded to him during his trip.AyatollahÂ Khamenei referred to the foreign-inspired sedition in some parts of northern Tehran in 2009 in the aftermath of Â theÂ Â presidential elections, and added that thanks God, the masses entered the scene and foiled an intricate plot by enemy agents.AyatollahÂ Khamenei said the dimensions of this sedition need to be properly gauged and analyzed since it was the result of the precise calculations of the enemies.

AyatollahÂ Khamenei said the prime intention of the enemies was to overthrow the Islamic Republic and replace with a government of their choice, but the Iranian nation foiled the enemy’s plot.

AyatollahÂ Khamenei also referred to the failure of US policies in Palestine, Lebanon, Afghanistan and Iraq, and stressed that the United States claim that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s system is the main factor of its failures, while in fact the awareness and the correct policies of the nations have defeated the US.
