Grand Ayatollah: enemy has targeted peoples’ beliefs

According to IRIB, Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi in a meeting with the Head of Basiji (voluntary) forces, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi, on Saturday, referred to the role of Basiji forces during the eight-year Iraqi imposed war, and added that with the beginning of  the imposed war against Iran, the Basij entered the battlefield on the initiation of the Father of the Islamic Revolution, late Imam Khomeini (may his soul rest in peace).

Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi said what in Lebanon led to Hezbollah’s advancement and the Zionist regime’s failure was the performance of Hezbollah forces, which bore fruit through getting inspired by the revolutionary spirit of Iranian Basijis.

The Source of Emulation underlined that the Basiji forces should be trained continuously in facing the enemies’ temptations and they should be immunized against moral corruption.
