Saudi Regime-Backed Forces Block Medical Aid for Taiz: Local Authorities

Shiite News: Local authorities in Taiz have confirmed that Saudi regime-backed forces are obstructing the delivery of medical aid from Sanaa to the city’s hospitals for the fifth consecutive day.

According to a source in the local administration, these forces have repeatedly asked international humanitarian organizations to postpone the delivery of medical supplies through the routes of Al-Hawban, Al-Qasr, Al-Kamb, and Hawd Al-Ashraf, citing Saudi instructions to close all roads leading to the city center.

The source said that the continuous delay is increasing the difficulties of civilians and access to essential medical supplies has been restricted. He accused Saudi regime-backed groups of prioritizing political and media interests over the needs of the people of Taiz.

It is noteworthy that during the Saudi aggression ongoing since March 2015, Taiz has remained divided due to the closure of fronts and roads, and restrictions by Saudi regime-backed forces on roads connecting different parts of the province have repeatedly affected the movement of civilians, commercial transportation, and the supply of food and medicines.
