37 Yemeni Civilians Martyred Including 11 Children in 72 Hours of Saudi Aggression: Yemeni Human Rights Center

Shiite News: The Yemeni Center for Human Rights and Development, Ain Al-Insaniyah, has said that in less than 72 hours, 127 civilians have been martyred and injured in Saudi attacks across Yemen. According to the Center, the number of martyrs is 37, including 11 children and 5 women, while among the 90 injured are 26 children and 15 women.

The Center, in its statement, strongly condemned the Saudi attack on the house of civilian Ali Al-Qaham in the Al-Tuwailah area of Sahar district in Saada province, in which 33 civilians were martyred and injured, the majority of them women and children. According to the Center, this attack took place one day after Saudi attacks with cluster bombs on civilians’ homes in the Dawran Anis district of Dhamar province, while the search for people buried under the rubble of the targeted house in Saada is still ongoing and there is a fear of an increase in the number of martyrs.

The Ain Al-Insaniyah Center, placing full responsibility for this attack and its humanitarian and legal consequences on the Saudi regime, said that attacks on civilians and residential areas are a serious violation of international humanitarian law and may fall under the category of war crimes, and the responsibility for such violations does not end with the passage of time. The Center demanded immediate medical assistance for the injured, continuation of relief operations, and accountability of those responsible.

Meanwhile, on Monday, Saudi warplanes targeted the house of a civilian in the Habajir area of Al-Shamaytin district in Taiz province and a water tank in the Al-Hasha district of Al-Dhale province with airstrikes; however, immediate details of human and financial losses in these attacks could not be ascertained.

Targeting civilian homes, water reservoirs, and installations of basic necessities is proof that Al Saud is taking revenge on the unarmed Yemeni people for its failure to confront the Yemeni resistance on the battlefield.
