Saudi Apache Helicopter Attacking Yemeni Border Posts Near Najran Shot Down: Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesman
Shiite News: Spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces Brigadier General Yahya Saree has announced that the Yemeni armed forces have shot down an Al Saud Apache helicopter near the Saudi border area of Najran, which was engaged in aggressive operations against Yemeni forces’ posts on the border.
The spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces said in his statement issued on Saturday night that, by the grace and help of Allah Almighty, the Saudi war helicopter was targeted with an appropriate weapon and brought down. This operation comes at a time when the Saudi regime has accelerated the series of aerial and ground attacks on various Yemeni provinces, and unarmed Yemeni civilians are continuously being targeted by Saudi aggression.
A few hours after the Yemeni statement, the spokesman of the Saudi coalition, Turki Al-Maliki, in a statement issued on Sunday morning, admitted that an AH-6i spy helicopter of the Saudi Ministry of National Guard crashed and was destroyed in the Najran area, and both officers on board were killed; however, the Saudi coalition described this incident as the result of a technical failure.
