Iran’s 5 Conditions for Reopening the Strait of Hormuz
Shiite News: The secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council has emphasized in a message that the Strait of Hormuz will not be reopened until the “terrorist US government” changes its conduct. He announced five key demands that Iran says are necessary to change the current situation.
The conditions are as follows:
- End threats and aggression
- Lift the naval blockade
- Withdraw US military forces from around Iran
- Compensate Iran for war-related damages and losses
- Lift sanctions
According to the Supreme National Security Council, the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the United States accepts these conditions, and maritime traffic in the region cannot return to normal.
