Shrines of Muslim saints closed since new wave of Deobandi terrorist attacks

The sacred shrines of many eminent Muslim saints have been closed down since new wave of Deobandi suicide bombings in Pakistan and the shrines of Bibi Pak Daman and Ali Hijveri (Data Darbar) were closed due to terrorist attacks in Lahore, capital of Punjab province.

Almost all the shrines where devotees largely congregate to pay respect have been closed down. Many other shrines in Karachi were also closed down since Sehwan Sharif bombing that left 90 devotees dead.
Mazar-e-Quaid and shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi in Clifton area of Karachi were closed for visitors after suicide bombing at Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine.
High security at shrines of Bari Imam, Golra Sharif and Sakhi Shah Sarwar was reported after the new wave of terrorist attacks by Deobandi terrorists of Taliban (Jamaatul Ahrar), Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (ASWJ) and Daesh.
In Lahore, security level was increased for shrines including Data Darbar, shrine of Bibi Pak Daman and Mian Mir, apart from closing them for visitors.
Security of mosques, shrines and other places of worship in Peshawar are on high alert.
