Lebanese Sunni scholar says Sidon is the city of unity co-existence
“Sidon is the city of unity Coexistence and unity,” said one of the religious clerics of Lebanon, Sheikh Hesam Ailani stating that the city will resistance against all of its enemies, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
“No one can get the identity of resistance form this city,” underlined Sheikh Hesam Ailani, adding that the people of this area are waiting for a strong president so as to block their enemies in their ways.
To the religious cleric, it would be incumbent upon the new president of Lebanon to preserve the weapon of resistance.
It is worthwhile noting that Sidon or Saïda (is the third-largest city in Lebanon. It is located in the South Governorate of Lebanon, on the Mediterranean coast, about 40 kilometres (25 miles) north of Tyre and 40 km (25 miles) south of the capital Beirut.
In Genesis, Sidon is the son of Canaan the grandson of Noah. Its name coincides with the modern Arabic word for fishery.
