Framework Agreement Is Equivalent to Surrender Says Sheikh Naim Qassem
“Framework Agreement Is Equivalent to Surrender; Hezbollah Will Stand Firm Until Victory,” Says Sheikh Naim Qassem
Shiite News: Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem, in a major address marking the anniversary of the victory in the 33-day war, described the 2006 war as a historic milestone for Lebanon and the wider region.
He said the war thwarted what he described as the “broader plans of the terrorist Israeli regime” and established a balance of deterrence against Israel from 2006 to 2023.
Sheikh Naim Qassem strongly criticized the Lebanese government, saying it had ignored alleged violations of agreements by the “terrorist Israeli regime” while targeting the weapons of the resistance.
He described direct negotiations with Israel and the framework agreement as “a disgrace and humiliation.” He maintained that the return of people to southern Lebanon and the ceasefire resulted from the Islamabad understanding, rather than the framework agreement.

He also blamed the government for failing to resolve Lebanon’s economic and social problems. Sheikh Naim Qassem pledged that the resistance would not accept surrender and would continue to fight for Lebanon’s sovereignty until the end.
