Hezbollah Will Continue Resistance Despite Pressure, Says Hussein al-Hajj Hassan
“Surrender Is Not in Our Vocabulary; Resistance Will Continue Despite All Pressure,” Says Hezbollah Leader
Shiite News: Hussein al-Hajj Hassan, a member of Hezbollah’s parliamentary bloc in Lebanon’s parliament, has said that surrender is not an option for Hezbollah and that the group will remain committed to what he described as resistance and steadfastness despite political, military and international pressure.
He stressed that surrender is not part of their vocabulary and said they remain fully committed to continuing what he described as resistance and standing firm against what he called the enemy’s plans.
Hussein al-Hajj Hassan also expressed pride in Hezbollah’s strategic alliance with the Islamic Republic of Iran, saying that the group has strong confidence in and pride in its relationship with Iran and in the strength of the country. He said Iran would continue its steadfast support for what he described as resistance at every level.
The Hezbollah parliamentarian further said that the sacrifices and courage of the resistance had thwarted what he described as attempts by its adversaries to eliminate Hezbollah. According to him, Hezbollah became involved in the conflict over the defense of the region after the Lebanese government failed to fulfill its responsibilities, and despite all the challenges, the group remains as powerful and active as before.

He added that the continued attention of the United States, Israel and international institutions to Lebanon demonstrates, in his view, Hezbollah’s power and influence. Concluding his remarks, he said that despite international pressure, Hezbollah would not retreat from what he described as its principled position and path of resistance.
