Terrorist wanted for killing Baltistan’s renowned speaker Shaheed Syed Asad Zaidi arrested

A terrorist wanted for various terror acts have been arrested by the Ghazar police. Gilgit Baltistan’s special branch and Ghazar police’s special team arrested the terrorist Bin Yameen by barricading the chitral road. Government had kept 10 lacs prize money on his head. The terrorist was also involed in killing of Baltistan’s renowned speaker and former deputy speaker of Gilgit Baltistan assembly Syed Asad Zaidi and the court had given him death penalty in 2013. The criminal was a fugitive since 2009 and 120/2009 and 302/34ppc and 7/6 ATA’s case has been registered against him in airort police station Giligit. The militant was brought to the city jail Gahcoch from where he was shifted to an unknown location. The terrorist was allegedly also involved in various terrorist acts took place at Karakoram highway.

Terrorist Bin Yameen was on 3rd number in the list of top ten terrorists of Gilgit Baltistan. After arrest, the militant was presented before media in Gahcoch after which he was shifted to an unknown place for investigation where JIT will be formed for investigation.

Syed Asad Zaidi who was one of the renowned lawyers and speakers of Gilgit Baltistan was martyred in April 2009 when terrorists fired upon his car near girls’ high school in Gilgit Kashroot. His guard was injured in the attack whereas Syed Asad Zaidi passed away at the hospital.
