Barrister Gohar Meets Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, Consults on Political Situation and Long March

Shiite News: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Barrister Gohar Ali Khan held an important meeting with Senate Opposition Leader Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri in the Opposition Chamber at the Senate. Tehreek Tahafuz-e-Aain Pakistan spokesperson Akhunzada Hussain Ahmed Yousafzai was also present. The meeting included detailed consultations regarding the parliamentary party meeting scheduled to be held in Peshawar tomorrow.

During the meeting, the leaders discussed the country’s current political situation, cooperation among opposition parties and the future political course of action. They strongly condemned the arrests of Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi, as well as what they described as widespread arrests of political workers. They termed the crackdown against political opponents and workers contrary to democratic and constitutional values and demanded the immediate release of all detained individuals.

The meeting also included detailed discussions on the proposed September 27 long march, preparations for it and the future strategy. On the occasion, both leaders agreed to further strengthen and make more effective coordination and consultation among opposition parties.
