Pakistan-Iran Ties Have Never Been at This Level Before, Mohsin Naqvi Tells Iranian President

Shiite News: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian met Pakistan’s Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi in Tehran on Monday evening, expressing satisfaction over the growing relations between Tehran and Islamabad. He emphasized the need to further expand bilateral cooperation in various fields, including trade, energy, tourism, investment, and cultural and scientific relations. The Iranian president also welcomed the Pakistani interior minister’s continued efforts to advance bilateral cooperation.

President Pezeshkian said that U.S. actions and pressure had contributed to increased cooperation and interaction among Muslim countries, citing the frequent meetings between Iranian and Pakistani delegations as an example. He said Iran and Pakistan are influential regional countries with significant human and natural resources, adding that joint investment and economic cooperation could help both countries address many of their domestic and regional needs.

During the meeting, Pakistan’s Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi briefed the Iranian president on the latest progress in bilateral cooperation. Naqvi said Pakistan-Iran relations had reached a level that they had never attained in the past.

Naqvi reiterated the Pakistani government’s commitment to continuously advancing and strengthening bilateral relations in all areas, including the economy, trade, politics, culture and science.
