Saudi Regime Responded to Peace Efforts with the Blood of Innocents: Yemeni Government Spokesman

Shiite News: Yemeni government spokesman Omar Al-Bakhiti has said that the increase in attacks by the Saudi regime during the past 24 hours is proof that it is bent on shedding more blood of ordinary civilians, especially women and children. According to him, these attacks targeted civilians’ homes, farms, and a shelter for African migrants.

Omar Al-Bakhiti said that in just 24 hours, 5 massacres were carried out, which are a continuation of the massacres ongoing during 100 days of Saudi aggression. During this period, the Saudi regime carried out more than 3,123 airstrikes in which approximately 600 ordinary civilians were martyred and injured, the majority of them women and children.

The Yemeni government spokesman said that this aggression is proof of the Saudi regime’s disregard for peace efforts and is a response written in the blood of innocents for those who seek a peaceful solution. He said that these attacks cannot break the resolve of the Yemeni nation, and the Yemeni armed forces will continue to respond on a like-for-like basis until the end of the aggression.

Omar Al-Bakhiti said that the Saudi regime has been imposing aggression and siege on Yemen for 12 years, in which tens of thousands of people have been martyred, while more than 1 million people have lost their lives due to the shortage of medicines and restrictions on treatment abroad.

Condemning the silence of the United Nations and the international community over these attacks, he said that this silence encourages further crimes and exposes the double standards of the claimants of human rights.
