Pakistan Interior Minister Visits Iran for High-Level Meetings
Pakistan’s Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Tehran on Saturday to hold talks with officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The visit had not been disclosed beforehand, but an informed diplomatic source in Islamabad told IRNA that Naqvi is scheduled to meet with some senior Iranian officials, including his counterpart, Eskandar Momeni, during this trip.

No further details on the agenda of the unannounced visit by a Pakistani cabinet minister, or the duration of his stay, were immediately clear.
In the middle of last month, Naqvi was part of a delegation led by Pakistani Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir to Tehran, with Iran-US negotiations then the focus of the trip to the Islamic Republic.
Naqvi, during his last visit, had a separate conversation with Momeni, as well as attended the meetings of the Pakistani army chief with Iran’s president, speaker of parliament, and foreign minister.
The two neighbors have intensified high-level visits and consultations on bilateral relations and regional developments, following the Pakistan-mediated ceasefire in the US-Israeli-imposed war on Iran.
Despite repeated breaches of the ceasefire by the United States and the Israeli regime, officials in Islamabad have repeatedly emphasized ongoing efforts to end the war, expressing hope that the process would lead to a permanent agreement to bring lasting peace and stability to the region.
