Imamia Scholars Council Organizes Religious and Educational Workshop in Sargodha, With Large Turnout of Preachers

Shiite News: The Imamia Scholars Council of Pakistan organized an important religious and educational workshop in Sargodha on the occasion of the Jashn-e-Sadiqain and Unity Week. A large number of Imamia preachers from the tehsils of Bhera, Bhalwal, Kot Momin, and Shahpur in Sargodha district participated in the event. Special educational sessions were held on the Seerah, Islamic jurisprudence, Quranic recitation and Tajweed, and contemporary issues.

Hujjat al-Islam Malik Naseer Hussain, head of Dar-ul-Uloom Muhammadiya Sargodha, said in his address that religious preaching is not merely about explaining religious rulings; rather, it involves the intellectual and spiritual development of people through wisdom, which is a fundamental principle of the school of Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (A.S.). During the session, renowned Quran reciter Maulana Rajai highlighted the importance of Tajweed and familiarized the preachers with various rules of Quranic recitation through practical exercises.

Hujjat al-Islam Syed Javed Hussain Shirazi shed light on the jurisprudential aspects of Khums, describing it as a means of purification of wealth and fulfillment of social needs. He urged the preachers to explain religious rulings with precision and sound jurisprudential understanding.

Additionally, Dr. Hassan Abbas discussed resistance against imperialism, the tragedy of Karbala, and the sacrifices of Imam-e-Ummat Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and other contemporary resistance leaders. He emphasized the importance of educating the younger generation about the distinction between truth and falsehood.

The workshop was the first session of the quarterly religious-preaching program organized by the Imamia Scholars Council of Pakistan. Hujjat al-Islam Sarfraz Hussaini served as the moderator of the event.
