Banned Sipah-e-Sahaba Conspires Again to Destabilize Peace in District Kurram

Shiite News: In District Kurram, peace restored after a long period is once again under threat as Taliban-affiliated tribes and members of the banned terrorist group Sipah-e-Sahaba have allegedly launched a new conspiracy to sabotage sectarian harmony.
According to local sources, miscreants associated with Taliban-supporting tribes and Sipah-e-Sahaba committed blasphemy against the revered Ahl-e-Bayt (AS) during a wedding ceremony held recently.
Reports suggest that nohas and marsiyas (elegies) were played during the event, and disrespectful acts such as dancing took place on them — triggering widespread outrage among the Shia residents of Parachinar.
Following the incident, local Shia elders have registered an FIR against the culprits. However, sources reveal that no concrete action has yet been taken by the local police.
There is growing concern that sectarian tension may once again flare up in Parachinar if authorities fail to act promptly.
Local Turi tribal leaders accuse the Taliban-linked tribe and Sipah-e-Sahaba of deliberately trying to destroy peace and reignite conflict in the region. They have vowed that such sacrilegious acts will never be tolerated.
The local Shia elders have demanded the police to swiftly complete legal proceedings and ensure the arrest and punishment of all involved elements to prevent bloodshed and unrest in the area.
They also urged the district administration and security agencies to adopt a joint strategy to maintain law and order and thwart sectarian conspiracies aimed at destabilizing Kurram’s fragile peace.
