Shiite News: Provincial President of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan Sindh, Allama Maqsood Ali Domki, during his visit to district Kashmore, visited OTS School in Sattarabad, met and conversed with male and female students, and distributed books among the children. On this occasion, he said that education is the foundation of any nation’s development, prosperity, and bright future, and Sindh’s development is only possible when every boy and girl in the province is provided with equal opportunities for quality education.

Allama Maqsood Ali Domki said that Islam has given extraordinary importance to knowledge, and the very first revelation of the Holy Quran begins with the word ‘Iqra’ meaning ‘Read’, which is clear proof of the fact that Islam calls man out of the darkness of ignorance towards the light of knowledge, consciousness, and gnosis. Referring to verse 9 of Surah Az-Zumar, he said that those who possess knowledge and those who do not cannot be equal, while in the teachings of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) and the Ahlul Bayt (AS), special emphasis has been laid on the acquisition of knowledge and the intellectual and moral development of man.

He said that in the present era, those nations are advancing on the paths of development that are focusing on education, research, science and technology, and modern sciences, and education also plays a fundamental role in the construction and development of Pakistan. He said that the provision of educational facilities in rural and backward areas, improvement of schools, encouragement of teachers, and provision of necessary educational resources including books to students is the important need of the time.
