Shiite News: Spokesman of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi, reacting sharply to US President Donald Trump’s attempt to threaten Iran with the bomb known as the “mother of all bombs,” has said that only a savage civilization could use a sacred word like “mother” for its heaviest and most destructive bomb.

In his message issued on Saturday, General Hossein Mohebbi said that the future belongs to the nation that turns the enemy’s biggest threats into the subject of street-level satire and humor. He said that the threats of imperialist power, instead of weakening the resolve of the Iranian nation, are themselves exposing the American mindset.

This statement by the IRGC spokesman has emerged at a time when US media reports have said that the American military has prepared plans under which, in the event of an order from President Trump to resume military operations, the GBU-43/B bomb could be used against Iran’s energy installations and nuclear centers — the largest non-nuclear bomb in the American arsenal.

However, according to these same American reports, US officials familiar with the military planning themselves harbor doubts about whether this bomb could help achieve America’s strategic objectives. On the other hand, commanders of the Iranian armed forces, terming these threats part of the enemy’s psychological warfare, have clarified that Iran is fully prepared to give a full response to every kind of aggression.
