He said that the ruling PTI had made tall claims in its election manifesto prior to 2018 election but it has not fulfilled its pledge after coming to power.

Instead, he cited, the government has rendered employed people jobless. He was referring to en bloc sacking of employees of Pakistan Steel Mill, Radio Pakistan and other governmental organisations/corporations.

The MWM leader called it a stepmotherly policy towards people of the country.

He further said that the government has failed in providing relief to common man. He said rising cost of living has made life of the masses miserable.

Allama Baqir said that people see not a glimpse of welfare state anywhere in the country which the PTI had promised in the manifesto.

He reminded the Prime Minister that empty promises cannot win hearts of the masses and he has to take concrete practical steps to relieve them.

Meanwhile, he also turned down the government’s privatization policy. He rejected rendering people unemployed in the name of reforms or restructuring of the state-run units (organisations/corporations).

The MWM leader asked the government to introduce the best working Business Plan to make state-run units profitable instead of en bloc sacking of employees.
