Yemenis Stage Massive Anti-Saudi Protest in Sana’a

Thousands of people from every walk of life held a large demonstration in the Yemeni capital of Sana’a to voice their anger at Saudi Arabia’s onslaughts on Yemen.

In the demonstration held on Sunday under the motto of “blockade is illegal”, the protestors condemned the air and naval siege on Yemen, which prevents the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Arabian Peninsula country.

During the massive rally, the Yemenis chanted anti-Saudi slogans and called for resistance against the aggressors.

They emphasized that the siege will only lead to an increase in the resistance and determination of the Yemeni nation, which will never be defeated and brought to its knees.

On March 26, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies began to launch air strikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

According to Yemen’s Freedom House Foundation, the Saudi airstrikes have claimed the lives of nearly 4,000 Yemeni people so far while more than 7,000 others have been wounded, most of them civilians.
