Saudi Ambassador Faces Tough Question Over Hezbollah and US Bases

According to ShiiteNews, a controversial exchange took place involving the Saudi ambassador stationed in Lebanon.

A journalist asked the Saudi ambassador: “What exactly do you want from the Lebanese government?”

The ambassador replied: “We want Hezbollah’s weapons to remain under the authority of the state and not be used without government permission.”

The journalist immediately responded: “So, can the American military bases present in your country also not be used without your government’s permission?”

Hearing this, the ambassador said: “It seems you are not a journalist but a supporter of Hezbollah!”

The journalist quickly replied: “And apparently, you also seem to be an ambassador of America rather than Saudi Arabia!”
