Israel attacks Lebanon with smoke grenades and drone overflights

Israel attacks Lebanon with smoke grenades and drone overflights, Lebanese official news agency reported.

According to the Lebanon official news agency, an Israeli enemy patrol threw two smoke grenades into the occupied Shebaa Farms.

However, it added that Israeli patrol did so without violating the Blue Line on Monday.

Furthermore, Israeli enemy pilotless reconnaissance drone’s overflights in said area also reported.

Notably, Lebanese official media calls Israel an enemy.

Earlier, Israeli forces installed electrical cables and carried out maintenance work on the surveillance towers.

Those towers erected above the concrete wall separating Lebanon from occupied Palestine on the road leading from Kfarkila to Adeisseh.

It further reported that the Israeli forces had done excavations near military road near technical fence opposite Wazzani parks.

They were also carrying out excavations in Abbara locality, opposite the town of Kafarkila behind the concrete wall.

Israeli enemy warplanes had been carrying out intensive flights over Nabatiyeh and Iqlim al-Touffah, at medium altitude last month.

Historically, Israel occupied Shebaa Farms, a small strip at the intersection of the Lebanese-Syrian border near Golan Heights. During the 1967 war, Israel did that.

However, the US’s controversial decision to recognize Israeli “sovereignty” over Syria’s occupied Golan Heights raised concerns on Shebaa Farms.
Particularly, Lebanese officials also stunned due to US violation of international law.

Although Israel had to withdraw from southern Lebanon in 2000, yet it kept control of Shebaa Farms. Under the pretext that the region’s ownership remains undecided between Lebanon and Syria, hence Israel occupied the land.

Amazingly, Israel calls Shebaa Farms part of the occupied Golan while both Damascus and Beirut say the area belongs to Lebanon.
