No Absolute Trust in the US; Washington Must Change Its Approach: Mohsen Rezaei Meets Army Chief Asim Munir
Shiite News: Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary-General of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, made it clear during a meeting with Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Asim Munir, that Tehran has absolutely no trust in the United States.
He stressed that Washington must change its approach and take practical steps toward implementing the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). During the meeting, he also reiterated Iran’s key security role in the Strait of Hormuz and its commitment to the defense of the region.

During the important meeting, Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Asim Munir, said that Pakistan had played a key role in facilitating the signing of the “Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.” He expressed his commitment to further strengthening the historic ties between the two brotherly Muslim countries and stated that Pakistan had taken extensive measures to make security along the Pakistan-Iran shared border inviolable, which would contribute to regional peace and stability.
