Mosque Preachers: Attacks on religious sanctities, a plot being implemented by Takfiris and Wahhabis

Mosque preachers said that the attacks against the Great Umayyad Mosque in Aleppo and Osman bin Affan Mosque in Kafarsousseh in Damascus are part and parcel of the repeated attacks against Muslim and Christian sanctities that came under attack and terrorist gunmen used as a den for carrying out their terrorist operations.

In their Friday sermons, the preachers hailed the decree issued by President Bashar al-Assad on forming a special committee tasked with rehabilitating the Great Umayyad Mosque in Aleppo in a short time.

They indicated that attacks on worshipping places are desecration of their sanctity, and the terrorists’ attempts to turn the mosques into platforms for launching attacks go against their sublime mission throughout history.
The imams stressed that ”Burying sedition is a moral, religious and national obligation, and Syria will remain impervious to the enemies of Arabism and Islam.”

They pointed out to the conspiracy targeting the nation, especially Syria, which is intended to divert it from the national and pan-Arab path, adding that the conspiracy seeks to pave the way for the Zionist enemy to undermine the Syrian position which supports resistance.

Minister of Awkaf (Religious Endowments), Dr. Mohammad Abdul-Sattar al-Sayyid said in his Friday sermon in Tartous that that the methodical plan implemented by takfiris and wahhabis was devised by the Zionists, the US and some Arabs, including Saudi Arabia and Qatar, who are prodding them on and providing them with weapons and fatwas that instigate killing.

He added that the Syrian people, in all their components, are aware of the facts behind these terrorist acts, and are more determined than ever to vanquish the conspiracy.
