Iran Says It Targeted US Personnel and Helicopters at Al Minhad Air Base in UAE With Drones

Shiite News: Iran has targeted US military personnel and helicopters stationed at Al Minhad Air Base in the United Arab Emirates with drone strikes, according to the Iranian military. The Iranian military said that dozens of explosive drones were used in the operation against US targets.

In its statement, the Iranian military said that US personnel and their helicopters at the Al Minhad base in the UAE were the direct targets of the drone attack. Tehran said the operation was carried out in retaliation for a recent US attack.

According to details released by Tehran, the United States had attacked Lark Island in the Strait of Hormuz, resulting in the deaths and injuries of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps personnel as well as civilians.

The Iranian military described the drone operation as a direct response to the reported casualties and what Tehran called US aggression against Lark Island. It said that dozens of drones were used to carry out the retaliatory operation against US military facilities.
