Muqtada al-Sadr: the country is passing through political and security crisis.
Eminent cleric and head of Jaish al Mahdi, Moqtada al-Sadr said on Saturday that the country is passing through a political and security crisis, which cannot be tolerated.
He added in a statement that there are several things that must be resolved and justified logically or else the catastrophe will be increased.
He explained that the arms contracts with Russia and the Czech Republic is not patriotism and have intensified the dispute and differences among the parties, in addition to losing Iraqi money on what is not pleasing the Iraqi people nor their representatives in parliament, calling on the Parliament to verify those contracts.
He continued: “The economy of the country is threatened and on the edge of collapse, especially after the interventions of the prime minister into the Iraqi central bank work,” calling on all honest, especially the MPs to work to save the economy of Iraq.
He pointed out that the Iraqi National Alliance had promised the political parties to reform , asking “where is the reform?” adding that he directed his words to the brothers in the coalition to work seriously, especially after he, previously, wrote some points that could be considered a reform paper.
