US Aircraft Flights Continue Over Iraq, Kataib Hezbollah Makes New Claim

Shiite News: Iraq’s prominent resistance group Kataib Hezbollah has claimed that US surveillance and military aircraft continue to conduct flights in Iraqi airspace. In a statement, the group said its intelligence unit had formally recorded the reported US aerial presence.

Kataib Hezbollah further claimed that it possesses what it described as concrete evidence that the presence of US forces in Iraq will continue until October 30. The group said details of the evidence would be released soon.

The statement comes amid differing claims regarding the status of the international coalition’s mission in Iraq. Iraqi government spokesperson Haider al-Aboudi recently told Al Jazeera that the coalition’s mission had ended, while channels for joint coordination would remain open.
