Bombing rocks Iraq’s holy city of Najaf
A bombing has stricken the Shia shrine city of Najaf hours after a massive car bomb attack left a dozen people killed in another Shia holy city.
The bomb explosion happened on Monday in Najaf, the capital of a province with the same name which hosts the shrine of the first Shia imam, Imam Ali (PBUH).Shiite News reported.
Earlier in the day, a car bomb detonated in Karbala which killed 12 people, including six Iranian pilgrims, and left at least 40 others wounded.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks.
