Two dead, eight injured in Iraq blast
A bomb explosion has left at least two people dead and eight others injured in northern Iraq as the country struggles to form a new government.
Iraqi police said the car bombing took place in a parking lot at a medical center in the northern city of Mosul on Sunday.
Earlier on Saturday, four people were killed and 18 others wounded in the Iraqi capital city of Baghdad and the southern Iraqi province of Maysan.
The reports of casualties have been on the rise since the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003.
In the largest-ever revelation of secret US military documents, the whistleblower website WikiLeaks has released nearly 400,000 classified reports about the US-led war in Iraq.
Copies of the documents show how US-led forces deliberately killed civilians, including pregnant women, at checkpoints.
WikiLeaks Editor-in-Chief Julian Assange says the documents show compelling evidence of war crimes committed by US-led forces.
