Interesting Fatwas of Top Saudi Cleric for the Sunni World

Saudi Arabia’s top religious cleric Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin-Abdullah Al-Sheikh has some rather forthright views, which are hard to comprehend in the not only in the West but the whole of Muslim Ummah. He has issued some decrees (Fatwas) which the sunni (salafi) world is suppose to follow:

Driving ‘exposes women to evil’ 

Saudi Arabia’s top mufti defended the country’s ban on female drivers saying its “a dangerous matter that exposes women to evil.”

All churches must be destroyed

In 2012, he incurred the wrath on Chrisitans thorughout the Middle East by saying that all churches in the Arabian Peninsula must be destroyed.

Twitter: a ‘source of all evil & devastation’

In October 2014, he described the Twitter as being “the source of all evil and devastation,” and also being “a source of lies and falsehood.”

Checkmate: Chess ‘causes hatred’

The sunni cerlic does not think much of chess, even issuing a fatwa saying the game should be ‘forbidden’.; He added that chess is  “a waste of time”.
