Karachi: Threat of terrorism in Arbaeen procession

Secret agencies had issued an alert regarding the possibility of terror attack in Karachi’s Arbaeen procession. According to the report received by Shiite news, terrorists could target the major procession on Chehlum of Imam Hussain (as). Security has been high alerted and barricades erected in the city after the warning.

There will also be LB polls on 5^th December, immediately after the Chehlum of Imam Hussain (as), therefore the terrorists could possibly target the Arbaeen processions and congregations in order to destroy city’s peace. In view of these threats, Shia organizations asked the government to take steps to strengthen the security arrangements whereas Shia volunteers are also prepared to perform security responsibilities.
