Lakki Marwat: Police and CTD Operation Leaves Suspected Banned Group Commander Dead

Shiite News: In a joint operation in Abdul Khel, Lakki Marwat, local police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) reportedly killed Manzoor, son of Izzat, who was described by authorities as a wanted commander affiliated with the banned Sipah-e-Sahaba group. According to the report, he was wanted in connection with alleged attacks on civilians and several serious criminal cases.

The report said that the previous day, local players returning from a friendly match in the Abdul Khel area had come under gunfire allegedly carried out by militants affiliated with the same banned group. Three young men were reportedly killed and three others seriously injured in the attack. Following the incident, police and CTD launched a joint operation that continued for several hours.

According to the report, an intense exchange of fire took place between the security forces and the suspects during the operation. Manzoor, the wanted commander, was killed in the exchange, and police took custody of his body.

Following the operation, police and CTD have reportedly continued extensive combing and search operations in Abdul Khel and surrounding areas to locate and arrest other suspects affiliated with the banned group who remain at large.
