Yemeni Armed Forces Claim Attack on Two Saudi Oil Tankers in the Red Sea
Shiite News: Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, claimed that two Saudi oil tankers, ENCELIA and LAYLA, were targeted during a military operation in the Red Sea.
According to the statement, the two tankers had allegedly violated restrictions imposed on maritime traffic in the Red Sea, prompting what the Yemeni Armed Forces described as a military response.
The statement said the operation involved multiple ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones, and claimed that both oil tankers caught fire as a result of the attack.
Gen. Saree further claimed that around ten commercial vessels were forced to alter their routes and turn back during the operation.

He also stated that maritime operations against Saudi Arabia would continue under what he described as a strategy of “blockade in response to blockade.” He warned that if Saudi Arabia took military action against Yemen, it would face what he described as large-scale military operations inside Saudi territory.
