The financial toll of Israel’s wars of aggression on the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, Syria, and Iran since October 7, 2023, has approached 700 billion shekels, equivalent to $205 billion, as reported by Israeli media.

This figure was detailed in a report authored by Nir Goldberg and published on Zman Yisrael, the Hebrew-language branch of The Times of Israel online newspaper, which evaluated the economic impact of these onslaughts on public finances, production losses, and military assistance from the United States.

According to data from the Bank of Israel cited in the report, the Tel Aviv regime’s expenses related to the wars have surpassed $118 billion.

Of this total, military expenditures accounted for approximately $71.2 billion, while compensation payments reached $9.6 billion.

Various civilian costs were estimated at $16.7 billion, and interest expenses associated with increased public debt amounted to $5.5 billion.

The report also valued the US-supplied weapons, ammunition, and military equipment to Israel at around $26 billion.

It indicated that the economic impact extends beyond public spending, estimating that the loss of output in the Israeli economy from October 2023 through the end of 2025 could reach approximately $51.9 billion.

Considering projections for 2026, the report suggested that this figure might exceed $58.6 billion.

When combining the regime’s expenditures, US aid, and lost production, the total economic burden of the wars is estimated to be nearly $205 billion, according to the report.

This calculation excludes individual losses not compensated by Israeli authorities and does not account for all private-sector losses, with the report warning that the burden could increase further if the wars persist.

Additionally, the report highlighted that the rise in public spending has resulted in higher taxes, contributing to an increased cost of living, which has particularly affected small and medium-sized enterprises.

It characterized the onslaughts since October 7 as the most financially burdensome period in the regime’s history, with repercussions expected to last for years.

The human toll of Israel’s ongoing war on Gaza and Lebanon is staggering.

In Gaza, documented statistics indicate that the aggression has led to the martyrdom of approximately 73,000 Palestinians, with over 173,000 wounded.

The war has been especially devastating for women and children, with at least 18,592 children and 12,400 women among the dead by the end of 2025, alongside nearly 11,000 people still missing.

Meanwhile, Lebanon has seen more than 4,000 martyrs and over 11,000 wounded since the latest wave of escalation began in early March.

The violence has also displaced over 1.2 million people in Lebanon, with entire communities in the south reduced to rubble, deepening an already catastrophic humanitarian crisis for millions across the region.
