Zero tolerance policy for Daesh in Pakistan: Pakistan Army Spokesman

Spokesman of Pakistan Army Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa has said Daesh is a threat for the entire world but there is zero tolerance for it in Pakistan. DG ISPR Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa, during a press briefing in Washington, said “major part of operation Zarb-e-Azb has been accomplished but no time frame can be given when it will be completed”.

He went on to say operations were being launched against the terrorists under well-organized strategy. They will find no place to hide, he added. He further said “operation is successfully continuing in FATA and other mountainous areas. When operation Zarb-e-Azb was started the terrorists moved to Khyber Agency but Pakistan army had carried out operations in Khyber Agency as well and had achieved success. Terrorists fled to Afghanistan being Pak-afghan border open. Action will be taken against the facilitators and associates of terrorists”.

“Daesh is a threat for the whole world and all will have to deal with it together. Daesh cannot defeat world powers. Daesh is gaining foothold in Afghanistan but there is no room for it in Pakistan. There is zero tolerance policy for it in Pakistan and clear cut action will be taken against it”, he said this during his press briefing.

He said Pakistan has Kashmir dispute with India and Kashmir issue be resolved soon. Citing to Pakistan-US ties DG ISPR said they were heading towards positive direction and no third country could influence them. The US sees its relations with Pakistan in individual capacity, he remarked.
