Iran vows to exact ‘heavy price’ for Israeli attacks on civilian infrastructure

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi pledges that Iran will be exacting a “heavy price” for the Israeli regime’s attacks on the Islamic Republic’s civilian infrastructure.

The top diplomat made the remarks in a post on X on Friday after listing earlier attacks by the regime against two of Iran’s largest steel production factories, civilian nuclear sites, and a power plant among other infrastructure.
The attacks targeted the central Iranian province of Isfahan’s Mobarakeh Steel Company and the Khouzestan Steel Company in the country’s southwest.

In addition, the regime struck the Khondab Nuclear Complex in the west-central Iranian city of Arak as well as a yellowcake production facility in the city of Ardakan in the country’s central areas.

Prior to the strikes, the regime had also targeted the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in southern Iran.

Elsewhere in his post, Araghchi highlighted the Israeli regime’s claim that it had coordinated the strikes with the United States.

The atrocities, therefore, the foreign minister added, run counter to US President Donald Trump’s claim that he has extended a self-described pause in aggression targeting the Islamic Republic.

Also on Friday, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) addressed the regime’s attacks on Iran’s civilian nuclear sites, calling them “a blatant violation of international law and a serious threat to regional security.”
The body lamented inaction on the part of international bodies, especially the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), in the face of such “savage acts,” calling the inertia “astonishing.”
