Iran to Target US Oil and Gas Companies in Event of Attack, Says Qalibaf

Shiite News: Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has announced a new strategy in response to recent threats by US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, warning that if Iran is attacked, American oil and gas companies operating in the region will be targeted.

In a post on the social media platform X, Ghalibaf said the strategy was very easy to understand. He stated that the region’s extensive oil and gas production infrastructure is spread across various locations, all of which are within Iran’s reach and could serve as relatively easy targets for retaliatory attacks.

Addressing the US Secretary of War directly, Ghalibaf warned that if the United States attacked Iranian assets, it would face an equally forceful response.

He further claimed that Iran had already demonstrated this military capability and said the United States should ask its military facilities that were rendered inoperative following Iranian attacks about Iran’s capabilities.
