More than 3400 terrorists have been killed during the Operation Zarb e Azb whereas 350 military officials have been martyred

National Assembly’s Qaima Committee for Defense has strongly condemned Indian military’s aggression at the LOC and working Boundary and killing of innocent citizens and demanded the international community to play its role to stop India from damaging civil areas. Secretary of Defense Lieutenant General (r) Muhammad Alam Khatak and senior officials of Military operation department told about India’s aggression at the LOC and working boundary in a session held at Parliament House Islamabad under the leadership of Sheikh Rohail Asghar.

Senior Army officials told National Assembly’s Defense committee, in the briefing that more than 3400 terrorists have been killed in the operation that started in June 2014 whereas 350 army officials also got martyred and more than sixty thousand intelligence operations have been carried out. Terrorists have been eradicated from Shawwal with the help of Air force and very few opposition areas are left. However, Pak Army will remain at Pak-Afghan border till 2019 so that terrorists who have ran away could not return. It was told in the briefing that Deash is getting stronger in Afghanistan and terrorists running away from Pakistan are also becoming a part of Daesh but we will make sure that they will not return to Pakistan. According to sources, it was told in the briefing that more people will be arrested for financially supporting terrorists and some big names could also be involved in this.
