Israeli Drone Attack Claims Civilian in Kounine Amid Escalating Assaults on Southern Lebanon
Under persistent Israeli assaults, southern Lebanon witnessed yet another deadly drone attack targeting the town of Kounine, where a civilian was martyred and multiple others wounded. This latest strike comes amid an ongoing campaign of aggression that has repeatedly violated Lebanese sovereignty and inflicted heavy civilian casualties.
According to the Al-Manar correspondent, the missile struck a vehicle near a residential area, causing it to crash into adjacent fields. Earlier strikes hit the main road between Bint Jbeil and Kounine, injuring civilians and disrupting daily life.
Witnesses confirmed the martyr was a local resident delivering essential supplies to a communal Ashura tent.
Later on Saturday, the Lebanese Health Ministry announced that one civilian was martyred and two injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a motorcycle in the southern town of Mahrouna.
The attacks are part of a pattern of over 3,700 Israeli violations since the ceasefire, resulting in nearly 200 deaths and hundreds more wounded across Lebanon—fueling demands for urgent international intervention to end the aggression and safeguard Lebanese lives.
