Iran Says Trade Routes and Border Security Unaffected Despite US Blockade

A senior Iranian official says the so-called US naval blockade in the Persian Gulf has failed to disrupt the country’s trade and border operations, with all crossings and shipping routes remaining fully functional.

Ali Akbar Pourjamshidian, deputy interior minister for Security and Law Enforcement, said on Friday that all land and sea borders, as well as customs points, are actively functioning for both imports and exports.

“The maritime blockade has no effect on the country,” he said, adding that all essential goods continue to enter Iran through official channels and exports are proceeding without disruption.

Pourjamshidian further said that the country’s border security has also improved thanks to the presence of military, police, border guards, and local communities, ensuring stability.

He added that despite US-Israeli attacks on police stations, security forces continue to operate at full capacity.

The United States and Israel targeted Iran’s police stations, prisons, and intelligence offices during their 40 days of military aggression in an attempt to incite unrest across the nation.

The relentless airstrikes caused significant damage and loss of civilian life, but failed to undermine internal cohesion and the deep-rooted bond between the nation and its leadership.
