Madrasa Teacher Arrested Over Alleged Sexual Abuse of Minor Student

Shiite News: A case involving the alleged sexual abuse of a minor student has been reported at a religious seminary in Shorkot, Jhang District. According to the report, local police arrested a madrasa teacher identified as Qari Saad following a complaint by the child’s parents.

The incident reportedly took place at Madrasa Haidaria Ghousia, near Adda 25 Pul in the Shorkot area. The report alleges that the accused, described by the publication as being affiliated with the banned organization Sipah-e-Sahaba, sexually abused a minor student at the seminary.

According to the report, the child’s parents promptly informed police and requested registration of a case. Police subsequently arrested the accused and transferred him to the police station. A First Information Report (FIR) was also registered, and legal proceedings were initiated.

The report further criticizes the alleged failure of certain religious seminaries to adequately protect children and calls attention to the need for accountability and stronger safeguards for minors in educational and religious institutions.
