Policies Against Iran Will Lead to Further Defeats, Iranian Foreign Minister Says

Shiite News: Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has responded to a threat by the US government to launch an economic operation against Iran, describing it as an attempt to divert public attention from economic challenges within the United States.

Araghchi said the United States is currently facing serious financial problems, including unusually high levels of debt and rising interest rates at banks, and argued that threats against Iran are being used to shift attention away from those issues.

He warned that insisting on continuing what he described as failed policies would only lead to further setbacks for the United States and could increase anti-American sentiment among the Iranian public.

Araghchi also described US economic policies toward various countries as “economic terrorism,” arguing that such measures pose a threat to the global economy and the national sovereignty of countries.
