Parents of four Shia missing person demand justice from State authorities

Parents of four Shia Muslims, believed to have been kidnapped by security officials illegally, have demanded of the government and judiciary to take notice of undeclared arrest of their sons.

Speaking at a joint press conference in Islamabad, 62 year old father of Raghib Abbas Khan Saqib said he was resident of Sidhupura Faisalabad and CTD Police Punjab took his son into custody on September 21, 2016 and also took away a laptop, two PCs, LCD, CDs and CNIC with them.
He said his son was an employee of State Life Insurance and happens to be a wood badge holder scout of Pakistan. He said he ran from pillar to post to seek justice and finally on December 15, 2017, a case was registered on his complaint at Ghulam Mohammad Police Station Faisalabad on the order of Justice of Peace of Faisalabad.
Wajid Ali, retired army personnel, said his son Akhtar Imran who had been a teacher in Bahria College and another son Waqar Haider were kidnapped by people clad in police uniform in district Chiniot on August 22, 2016. He said he tried his best to ferret out the whereabouts but to no avail.
On the other hand, elderly parents and innocent children of Malik Shabbir Hussain Aaheer of Sargodha was also taken into illegal custody.
Parents and relatives of these four missing Shia Muslims of Pakistan demand that if there was any charge against them that must be made public so that they defend themselves legally in the court of law. They said it was unfair to deny the detainees their inalienable legal right to defend themselves.
