MPA Sajid Qureshi & Sibta Jaffar murder: 4 terrorists of LeJ remanded in police custody

A local court on Friday remanded four terrorists of outlawed Sipah-e-Sahaba (Yazeed) and Taliban involved in the killing of Shia intellectual Shaheed Prof Sibta Jaffar and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) lawmaker Sajid Qureshi, in police custody till August 1.

The terrorists of banned outfit Sipah-e-Sahaba (Yazzed) Kazim Shah, Talha, Ubaidur Rehman and Muhammad Shahab alias Chotu were presented before an anti-terrorism court (ATC) amid tight security. Police investigation officer told the court that the accused were involved in 25 murders including assassinations of Sajid Qureshi, Professor Sibte Jaffar and Shia and Sunni Muslims opponets of Deobandi School of thoughts.
The ATC sent the accused to physical remand till August 1.The accused were arrested after a shootout in Orangi Town area of Karachi.
