Karachi: 24 terrorists of LeJ and Taliban involved in killing Shia Muslims arrested

Shiite News: Police and Rangers have claimed to arrest 24 militants of various banned organizations on Sunday.

According to a senior police officer, counter terrorism department of police arrested 4 militants from Chamra Chorangi and Korangi Industrial area who were allegedly involved in 2011’s bomb blast at a gambling spot in Ghas Mandi that killed 16 people and several were injured. The militants were also involved in blasts on cinemas and killing of Shias, according to SSP CTD Usman Bajwa.

Terrorists Muhammad Shahid alias Zubair, Muhammad Ali, Manzoor Ahmed and Usman Ghani alias Baba alias Hamza belong to outlawed TTP and LeJ.

On the other hand, 24 suspicious people were arrested from different areas of Karachi who allegedly belong to banned groups, Rangers’ spokesperson told.
